The Leadership Committee
by Ernest Angelo, Jr., Co-Chairman, Michael Williams for U.S. Senate Committee
In April of this year, the Michael Williams for U.S. Senate Committee released a robust list of supporters: a Leadership Committee of over 1,600 individuals who have given their name, their time, their dollars to help send Michael Williams to the United States Senate.
That Leadership Committee has grown. Today, Commissioner Williams proudly boasts more than 6,200 individuals from across Texas and the nation who have joined his Leadership Committee. They stand with him, ready to help send him to Washington to bring true conservative reform to the U.S. Senate.
Highlights of the Leadership Committee:
Former Speaker Newt Gingrich
Over 800 Williams County Co-Chairs and County Steering Committee members in 183 counties across Texas accounting for 72% of the state
One-third of the State Republican Executive Committee
Republican Sheriffs, County Elected Officials, Mayors and City Council members
Longtime leaders of the Republican Party in Texas including former RNC Committee members, RPT Vice Chairman and RPT Chaplain; top leaders in county parties across the state; leaders in the Texas Federation of Republican Women
Over 3,000 Leaders carrying Commissioner Williams’ message through social media outlets and blogs
Over 1,500 contributors, more than any other Republican in the race, including a contributor from every state in the U.S.

This race will likely be decided by a Special Election. The candidate capable of energizing and mobilizing their base of voters wins Special Elections.
There is no doubt which candidate can amass the volunteers necessary to get out the vote on Election Day to keep this Senate seat in the Republican column: Commissioner Michael Williams. Our team of supporters is far and away the deepest, most energized and most experienced.
Conservatives across the state and the nation agree: Michael Williams is the leader we need in the United States Senate.
But don’t take our word for it...
Newt Gingrich:“…no candidate brings the energy, the proven conservative ideals, and the ability to take the liberals to task while rallying the grassroots of our party like Commissioner Michael Williams… Michael Williams would be a true game-changer in Washington. Not only is he an expert on carbon policy, he is an articulate spokesman for reforming education policy.”
Grover Norquist:“By signing the Pledge, Michael Williams shows hardworking families that he understands that letting them keep more of their money is not only good for the family budget but good for the economy as well.”
Laura Ingraham:“If you don’t know who Michael is, you will soon…He is one of the best voices in politics, I mean literally and figuratively.”
RedState.com:“He is defined by his conservatism. He is defined by his ability to connect with both small town America and a thriving urban industrial America. Through his life story, Michael Williams gets how liberalism has corroded America and how conservatism can transform America, making it shine ever more brightly on the Hill.”
TownHall.com:“(Michael Williams) is well-versed on many of the issues today's Democrats think they own, such as energy and the environment, education and urban crime.”
Texas Sheriffs:“Every day, we work to enforce the law, fight crime, secure our communities, maintain order, protect lives, property and the rights of Texans. Michael understands this because he has done it, too. He has spent the lion’s share of his career working with law enforcement to make our communities safer. That’s the kind of person we want representing us in Washington, D.C.”
El Campo Leader-News:“Although several candidates in addition to Williams have already announced their intention to run in the May special election, none would be better or more qualified to fill this seat than Williams. This is not a slight to his fellow Republican candidates but a testament to Williams' keen intellect, character and powerful ability to communicate his principled, freedom-centered public policy positions.”
Annuit Coeptis:"He takes a stewardship, pro-growth energy and environmental position. He is strong on defense, pro-life, and a life-time member of the NRA committed to preserving our Second Amendment rights, while he favors a flat tax regarding income taxes.”
