Friday, March 13th, the Cesar E. Chavez Legacy & Educational Foundation coordinated with the City of San Antonio to officially announce this year’s upcoming events to commemorate the legacy of civil rights leader Cesar E. Chavez.

“The city of San Antonio is invited to the 13th Annual Cesar E. Chavez March for Justice on Saturday, March 28th” said Jaime P. Martinez. For more than three decades, Chavez helped farm workers to achieve fair wages, medical coverage, pension benefits, humane living conditions in addition to dignity and respect.

He was a unique and humble leader, in addition to being a great humanitarian and communicator, who influenced and inspired millions of Americans to seek social justice and civil rights for the poor and disenfranchised in our society.

“I am new to San Antonio and my dad had marched with Cesar E. Chavez, during the Grape Boycotts in California” said Brandon K. Olmos. (son of Edward James Olmos) For a complete list of events please visit www.sanantonio.gov/chavezmarch
