UTSA celebrates Pre-Freshmen Engineering Program with Gala

UTSA'S Pre Freshmen Engineering Program 30 years Gala celebration, Saturday, Mar. 7th. Event begins @ 6:30 p.m. with a 7 p.m. dinner @ the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 123 Losoya

The Pre-Freshman Engineering Program (PREP) at The University of Texas at San Antonio will celebrate its 30 years of service to the youth of the Greater San Antonio Area with an anniversary gala.

Proceeds from the event will support PREP students and scholarships. PREP began at UTSA in 1979 and has expanded into a partnership of local colleges, universities and school districts. The program provides a rigorous seven-week summer mathematics-based curriculum for middle and high school students. PREP is designed to motivate and prepare middle and high school students for success in advanced studies leading to careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields.The highlight of the evening will include the announcement of PREP Distinguished Alumni Awards in areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
