San Antonio Community Radio is on the move to raise $50,000

San Antonio Community Radio is on the move and we need your help. I'm writing with an urgent appeal to help us raise $50,000 by March 1st, 2009. Already, we've had a huge outpouring of support in the community and I want to tell you how you can join in the momentum.

In September, we solidified an agreement with Trinity University to lease their radio frequency 91.72 FM radio. If you thought the "2" at the end is an error, think again.

91.72 FM KROV (Restore Our Voice) is a new frequency that is found on HD radios. Many people don't have HD radios yet, but many new cars have them installed as a standard option and we plan on giving away many free HD radios through San Antonio Community Radio in 2009.

If you have wondered why you can't hear good music on local radio, it's because you don't have a seat at the table.

By contributing to San Antonio Community Radio, you are purchasing ownership in your radio station.

It's your voice. It's your choice to support the music you want to hear. Send me a reply and tell me what artists and songs you want to hear on KROV 91.72 FM.

Also, you can visit our new website at www.restoreourvoice.org and contribute via credit card online.

There are many more events in January that we will keep you informed about and we look forward to restoring your voice in 2009—join us!

Yours for change,
Tommy Calvert, Jr.
