David's constant enthusiasm for justice will always be remembered. A visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 14th at Roy Akers-Zizik Kearns Funeral Chapels, 515 North Main , and a Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2008 at the funeral home.
The family will receive friends and family from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16th, at San Fernando Cathedral, 115 Main Plaza, and a Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South.
Mr. Arevalo was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Guadalupe Arevalo. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Patricia Arevalo; children, Elizabeth Arevalo and Dominick Arevalo; siblings, John Arevalo and wife Margaret, Manuel Arevalo and wife Nellie, Frank Arevalo and wife Jane, and Oralia Figueroa and husband Angel; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. David'soutstanding commitment and dedication to others was reverberated through his humble actions as a community activist.
