Texas Tejano.com Announces
2008 Celebrate Tejano Heritage Student Awards Contests

Texas Tejano.com, a San Antonio-based research and publishing company is pleased to announce today that they will be conducting a statewide search for the best examples of Tejano student art for this year’s Tejano Heritage Month celebrations!


The month of September has been officially designated Tejano Heritage Month by Gov. Rick Perry and 2008 marks the fifth anniversary of this designation. To help celebrate, Texas Tejano.com, along with its great partners and sponsors, will once again be conducting a coloring (K-5), essay (6-8) and poster (9-12) contest that is open to all students in Texas statewide!

Joined by the Alamo Legacy & Missions Association, Wells Fargo, Valero, Time Warner Cable and the San Antonio Public Library as the Contests’ sponsors, Texas Tejano.com will kick off this year’s festivities beginning on Sept. 1st. The rules and art work for the coloring contest will be available online at www.texastejano.com to download and hard copy will be available at San Antonio-are Public Library and Wells Fargo branches.
