It’s about Youth! 25 years of Learning, Renewing and Connecting – that’s the theme for the 2008 TNOYS Conference and Gala. Texas Network of Youth Services (TNOYS) is celebrating the 25th annual statewide conference by combining the conference with the annual gala.

The Gala has been set for August 14th at the TDS Exotic Game Ranch and Pavilion in Austin and the conference is set for August 12th-15th, @ the Austin Marriott Airport. All attendees of the conference are invited to the Gala.

The fundraiser celebrates the contributions of individuals and organizations that make a difference for youth and families in Texas. Judge Peter A. Sakai of San Antonio will receive the Trailblazer for Youth Award, for his tireless efforts on behalf of abused and neglected children and youth.

Dr. Gloria Williams, a leader at Austin ISD who is revered for her efforts on behalf of at risk youth, will receive the Spirit of Giving Award; and Ms. Carmella Lucero, a young adult who has survived many challenges and now gives back to the community, is recognized with the Alumni Leadership Award.

H.E.B. is receiving the Inaugural Corporate Spirit of Giving Award for their generous support of youth and families around the state. Through its member agencies, many communities in Texas benefit from the H.E.B. commitment to youth and families.

The fun-filled evening will be attended by friends and supporters, and will include a reception, auction, dinner, and the awards ceremony.

The Texas Network of Youth Services (TNOYS) is a member organization of nonprofit youth service agencies who share the common goal of creating better options and improving available services for youth and families in crisis. Since beginning in 1980, the mission of TNOYS is to promote excellence in youth service organizations through support, training and advocacy. This annual fundraiser enables the organization to fulfill its mission.
