Conserving Energy this Summer
As summer gets into full swing, I would like to remind you that it is important to use energy wisely. CPS Energy has indicated that they are anticipating summer electric bills to be affected by both the hot weather as well as the rising fuel prices. The estimated average residential electric bill for the months between July and September is expected to be $162.
CPS Energy encourages you to do the following things to help you save on your electric bills.
- Keep your thermostat between 78-80 degrees
- Make sure to keep your air filters clean and replace
them frequently during the summer
- Use fans to help circulate the air and help make the
rooms feel cooler
