Men from Alamo City Church of Christ serve as the Board of Directors of the Church of Christ Bible Chair, at San Antonio College. Directors include Mark Forster, President, Claude Koonhow, Secretary/Treasurer, and Board members John Massie, John Coker, Keith Murray & Chuck Bagby.Work is in progress to renovate the building which has not been in use since 2005. Several large leaks in the roof caused major water damage to the ceilings and walls in the entry, office, library and two of the classrooms. The exterior paint has deteriorated and some of the fascia must be replaced. It will cost $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 to complete the restoration.
We would like to be ready for occupancy in time for the fall semester. We arc planning to offer Bible Courses both for credit and audit. Programs will be developed to attract full time college students as well as the adults attending school at night. Evangelism through education will be the primary focus with special emphasis being given to personal spiritual growth. An advisory committee is being recruited from among former directors, business and professional leaders, SAC faculty and students along with area church leaders.
