Celebrate the 2008 Olympic season with a vibrant, powerful exhibition of iconic sports photographs taken throughout the decades. Visions of Victory Presented by Mutual of Omaha gathers more than 100 images from around the world by such acknowledged masters of the photographic medium as William Henry Jackson, Annie Leibovitz, and David Burnett, along with lesser known and anonymous photographers whose lenses have captured some of the greatest moments in sports history.

Visions of Victory was initially organized for presentation at the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta – a tribute to the 100-year celebration of the games and the era of sports photography. In order to benefit from the excitement surrounding the Olympic games and to maximize community interest in the exhibition, The San Antonio Museum of Art's presentation of the exhibition will coincide with the XXIX Olympiad in Beijing. (August 8th-14th, 2008)
