The pursuit for the Democratic Presidential nomination continues with the West Virginia Primary. Thirty nine delegates are up for grabs in tonight's primary.
Next week, focus will shift towards the Kentucky and Oregon Primaries . A total of 125 delegates, the largest delegate block remaining in these final primaries, will be sought after. It breaks down as 60 delegates from Kentucky and 65 delegates from Oregon.
Everyone is keeping a close eye on delegates because 2,025 delegate votes are needed to become the Democratic nominee for president. According to the New York Times, as of this posting, Senator Obama has 1,871 delegates and Senator Clinton has 1, 690 delegates.
Join BCYD as we gather to watch returns from the Kentucky and Oregon primaries on Tuesday, May 20th. We're meeting at Bennigan's on San Pedro and Loop 410 at 6:30 p.m. We'll be blogging from the Primary Watch party, so if you can't make it, log onto our website, www.bexaryd.org.
