Think in Pictures @ St. Mary's Hall Theatre & Gallery

May 21st, Wednesday from 7-9 p.m.

Kenkou Inc. presents the premier exhibit in San Antonio of charcoal and oil pastels, and foil sculptures by nationally acclaimed folk artist Greg Pelner, entitled “Think in Pictures.” Greg’s pieces are clear and visually uncomplicated, expressive of a fresh and clean vision of the world. His work is vibrant in color, simply executed, and playfully meaningful. The works exhibited at St. Mary’s Hall Theatre Gallery will be available for purchase.

Greg is well known for his nudes, considered an unusual subject for folk artists. His nudes display the human body moving with both grace and humor. Drawn buildings are constructed with total spotlight on their texture and color, almost void of landscape placement. He creates a menagerie of animal sculptures and drawings. Two of his favorite subjects are Noah’s Ark and his own cats.

Beyond the exhibit “Think in Pictures”, and telling the story “Success in Spite of Differences”, Greg will be sketching in San Antonio for future works. He will spend a day with the students at Randolph Air Force Base Elementary School where he will assist young students to create their own foil sculpture pieces.

For free tickets and information about Kenkou please visit the web site at www.kenkou4u.com or call 861-4000. St. Mary’s Hall Theatre is located at 9401 Starcrest Drive.
