Vets for Freedom to share their experiences from Iraq

Ft. Sam Houston ceremonies on Veteran's Day, 2007

Vets for Freedom is an organization of combat veterans who have fought in Iraq or Afghanistan. They will be arriving in San Antonio on Wednesday the 19th of March to share their experiences and views about the importance of achieving success in these conflicts. This is your opportunity to say thanks to these vets who have sacrificed so much to keep us safe from terrorist attack.

Their visit to San Antonio is but one stop on a nation wide "National Heroes Tour" that is all about helping American citizens, lawmakers and the media, to fully recognize—and appreciate—the sacrifice of our brave military and the dramatic success they have achieved, especially in Iraq.

Public ceremonies planned by the veterans for Wednesday the 19th, include:
  • 8:30 a.m. -- Rendezvous of San Antonio Vets from all eras with the vets on the National Heroes Tour, at the Crockett Hotel located at 320 Bonham and E Crockett Streets.
