National Sexual Assault Awarness & Prevention Month Kickoff

A Celebration of Healing & Hope, San Antonio Youth Help Bring Message of Prevention & Awareness

The Rape Crisis Center will kick-off National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month March 31st. Youth in Bexar County will help Celebrate Healing & Hope through artistic expression.

The performance, which is free and open to the entire community, will include interpretive dance, singing, drama, and other theatrical performances.

San Antonio Express-News Columnist Cary Clack will be the Host for the evening. The 90-minute performance will highlight such youth groups as:


  • Amy’s All Star Rising Star Dance Team- Emory Quinn- Gabi Rose-
  • C.R.U.N.C. CITY Dance Studio
  • Antioch Baptist Church’s Peace of Mime Ministry
  • The STAR (Students Taking Action for Respect) group from Fox Tech High School
This kick-off event is also part of San Antonio’s celebration of National Crime Victims Rights Week, which is April 14-18th. More than 36 agencies and community groups join forces with the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office to help plan special events to bring awareness of victims’ rights and services to our community.

This event is Monday, March 31st @ the Carver Community Cultural Center, 226 N. Hackberry.
