Walker Report hits 110-thousand hits-10-thousand this month

The Walker Report is hitting the long ball. In 19 days we have hit 10-thousand views to put us at 110-thousand since January 10th of this year when we added the site meter. Who knew? We are looking to hit the 200-thousand hits in less far less time. Maybe we can shoot for the 200-thousand mark for January 16th, 2008! Keep checking us out each day and we will.

This past weekend and last week the Walker Report was engaged in high gear with the culmination of the visit of the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi at Milam Park. Then there was the lighting ceremony at the University of the Incarnate Word for the 22nd year in a row as well. The crowd was overwhelming! I am especially proud as an alumni of Incarnate Word to have attended the event.

Add an opening of a Bingo Parlor on the Southside, a gala raising money for the AIDS Foundation, the American Sunrise Foundation Banquet, three candidates hosting fundraisers, and a discussion about religion at the AT&T Center at San Fernando bringing Jews, Christians and Muslims to the table.

Today Walker Report posted an article about a charter chapter of a Muslim Boy Scout Troop formed November 3rd. Walker Report hopes to cover more of that kind of community involvement. The Muslim community as well as the Jewish community and other religious communities are certainly welcome on Walker Report. Thirteen postings so far today and we have five hours left in the day.

Presidential hopeful Mayor Rudy Guiliani quietly slipped into town today for at least one fundraiser in the Dominion. The Walker Report is hoping that someone who attended the private function will send a photo so it can be posted on the blog that he visited the Alamo City.

More civic groups and non-profit organizations are sending in their information as well. With 2,341 postings, the pace is not slowing down, but quickening.
