Spam the Senate is an event sponsored by Exponential Records and the Northwest Democrats of Bexar County, with Texans for Peace, the Sierra Club and other local Democratic groups also involved.

Students from many of the colleges/universities in San Antonio are helping to promote the event, and so far the response has been very enthusiastic. The idea behind Spam the Senate is to get young people active in politics by providing a fun outlet for letting our voice be heard.

The event will be held on 11/10/07 between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m. at Ruta Maya, a coffeehouse/bar located at 107 E. Martin St. in downtown San Antonio. There will be 17 top bands and DJs playing all night.

Computers will be available to allow people to send emails to Sen. John Cornyn demanding change. We will register voters and provide information about the disastrous record of the Bush administration and its unquestioning supporter Sen. John Cornyn. We are asking all people who recognize the need for change to send this message to all their friends, family, and acquaintances.

President Thomas Jefferson once said, "Every generation needs a new revolution." Now is our time!

Saturday November 10th is Spam the Senate day for Texas. On Saturday, go to Cornyn's website at http://cornyn.senate.gov/ to send him an email...it will only take a minute of your time.
