Extreme Neighborhood Sweep meeting, Tuesday, Oct. 2nd

Jefferson Neighborhood Association banner:

The Monticello Park/Jefferson Extreme Neighborhood Sweep will host its first meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2nd at Jefferson United Methodist Church, 758 Donaldson.

An Extreme Sweep coordinates a comprehensive package of city services to enhance the appearance of MPNA/JNA¢s neighborhoods and encourage long-term residential and commercial property maintenance. The Sweep provides a month long comprehensive bundle of city services.

The program brings the use of a mobile unit where residents can communicate with a designated Special Projects Coordinator. In the command post residents can voice their concerns and inquire about all city services. Through community meetings residents are empowered to make requests for services and report concerns in efforts to customize services to each individual neighborhood¢s needs and ensure efficiency in their delivery.

We will be focusing on resources to help homeowners make home repairs, clean up properties, long term property maintenance, alley clean ups, stray animal control, graffiti cleanup, reduction in neighborhood crime, and better utilization of city services to keep MPNA and JNA prospering and growing.
