Washington — Despite President Bush's low approval ratings and public opposition to the Iraqi war, Republicans remain optimistic that they can rebound from the midterm election rout and win back seats in the House.
Republicans have targeted 28 Democratic lawmakers considered vulnerable in the 2008 election cycle — including Rep. Ciro Rodriguez, D-San Antonio, and Rep. Nick Lampson, D-Beaumont.
