The Dreamhealer is a movie that is currently filming in San Antonio King William area. The stars are San Antonio natives, Jesse Borrego and wife Valeria Hernandez. This is one of the few times this married couple has been able to work on a film project together.
The Dreamhealer is a combination family drama and metaphysical thriller. The movie was inspired by an article printed in the San Antonio Express-News about insomnia and the different severities of the disorder.
The result is a story written and produced by San Antonio native, Dora Pena, about Clara, an 11-year-old girl whose gift of healing insomniacs with the best sleep imaginable is being exploited by a greedy Aunt Marta.
Upon completion, The Dreamhealer will undergo a test screening with a local San Antonio audience, then it will be submitted to the top festivals nationally and internationally including, Cannes, Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, among others.
