Guadalupe Davila passes away Sunday, March 18th

The Bexar County Democratic Party extends their condolences to the family of Guadalupe Davila.

On Sunday, March 18th, Guadalupe Davila, a Democratic Party precinct chair and longtime Westside activist went to be with the Lord. Lupe, as she was known, was a fixture in Westside politics. Lupe was the quintessential precinct chair.

She knew every nook and cranny of precinct #2009. However, her influence spread everywhere. She helped start-up many would-be politicos and (if they forgot who put them there) occasionally helped to end a few politicos' careers too.

Perhaps her greatest contribution is the children and grandchildren she left to fill her place. Her progeny are the grassroots of Westside politicsand are indispensable resources to any Democrat who wants to know how the Westside thinks and votes.

Our prayers are with you.Lupe, we will miss you.

Life-long District 5 Resident

  1. Thank you so much for honoring the memory of my grandmother on your website I feel proud to be in the shadow of someone who left a legacy speaking up for those who otherwise would not have a voice.
