Obledo kicks off SA Council District 8 campaign

Friends, supporters and constituents were present for San Antonio Council District 8 candidate Mario Obledo who officially kicked off his campaign for the May 12th City Council election Saturday, February 10th at the Easter Seals Headquarters on Babcock Road.

Introduced by his father-in-law Carlos DeLeon, Obledo addressed his contstituents and shared his priorities for District 8. The crowd also sang Happy Birthday to Obedo since February 10th is his birthday. Obledo turned 37.

Elected officials on hand were NSISD School Board Member Katie Reed, Balcones Heights City Councilman Steve Walker & former District 23 Congressman Albert Bustamante. At his February 9th reception hosted by State Senator Leticia Van de Putte, former SA Mayor Ed Garza was present, along with State Board of Education member Rick Agosto.
