Bexar Democratic Party Chairs elect Deputy Chairs

With barely a quorum, the monthly meeting of the Bexar County Democratic Party Precinct Chairs elected three new Deputy Chairs to fill the vacated seats of Pct. 2, 3 & 4.

Precinct 2 elected Young Democrats President Chris Garcia, while Precinct 3 elected the Rep. for the Poor, Le Lowry. Ian Straus, former Northeast Democrats Chair, was elected Precinct 4 Deputy Chair.

It was also announced at the meeting that former Senator John Edwards, as well as Senator Hillary Clinton and New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, all three presidential hopefuls, would visit the Alamo City in the very near future.

The meeting was held at the Communications Workers of America (CWA) located on N. St. Mary's, Tuesday, February 6th.
