The 29th Annual Cowboy Breakfast sponsored by Toyota & hosted by the City of Balcones Heights has come and gone, but thousands of San Antonians turned out for the event under good weather conditions, Friday, January 26th in Balcones Heights.
An estimated 30-thousand people poured into the parking lot of Dave & Busters next to the Super Target at Crossroads Mall for fee tacos, sausage, orange juice, coffee and lots of bands and live music from a number of local radio stations.
People stood in long lines for the free food and an opportunity to hear local bands perform and sign up to win free merchandize from local vendors.
The event also featured a cow chip throw with celebrity contestants. Those contestants included: Da Susan Reed who won the cow chip throw a second time in three years. Commissioner Tommy Adkisson, Balcones Heights Mayor Jim Craven, & Councilman Bennie Cass, Mud King Russell Felan, representaives from Toyota, the Constable's Office Pct. 2, & KTSA News Reporter Andy McCall.
