Albert Uresti, candidate for U.S. Congressional District 23, has resided within the district for over thirty years and comes from a family of veterans. He has been involved in community building, mentoring and coaching children for over twenty years.

“Rick Bolanos’ decision to drop from the race three days before early voting was the right move,” said Uresti.

“In fact, he does not live in District 23! According to Texas Secretary of State filing records, former Congressional District 23 candidate Bolanos did not reside within the district boundaries.

Bolanos has endorsed Lukin Gilliland, another non-resident who lives in Alamo Heights, “a wealthy city that is completely out-of-touch with District 23 residents economically and socially,” said Uresti.

Uresti, a retired San Antonio Fire Department District Chief and brother of State Representative Carlos Uresti, further elaborated, “District 23 residents deserve a congressman who lives where they do, knows what they want and who is dedicated to serving their needs.”
