Bolanos & Romo call a joint press conference

Thursday, Oct. 5th at 3 p.m. on the grounds of Mission Espada, Larry Romo, State Chair of Texas Democratic Veterans, and Rick Bolaños, Democratic congressional candidate for Texas District 23, will host a joint press conference.

The purpose of the conference to expose criminal activities and breaches of ethics by Henry Bonilla, congressman (TX-23).

Romo will describe a pattern of documented behavior by Henry Bonilla that strongly suggests

• conflicts of interest, influence peddling, stock purchase "irregularities", funneling tax dollars to projects that enrich big donors, and rewarding other donors with federal contracts worth over a billion dollars.

Bolaños will unveil three separate legal filings, two of which charge Henry Bonilla with acts against the public interest and his federal responsibility, by breaking both state and federal ethics rules, and a third, a lawsuit which charges Bonilla with acts against Rick Bolaños, personally.

Rick Bolaños has filed civil suit against Henry Bonilla's Campaign agent(s) requesting statutory damages and punitive damages in excess of $1,000,000 for the unauthorized, unlawful, multiple uses of Bolaños' name.

In 1999, a period now known to be critical to the "success" of the 911 perpetrators, the incumbent Republican Party threw the nation into a state of distraction and chaos, ostensibly to uphold "The Rule of Law".

In a provision included in one of the last acts of the 102nd Congress, with the help of Henry Bonilla, Congress passed the "Anti-Cybersquatting Law". This law makes it a federal offense to take the name of any individual for use as an internet website "domain name" and misrepresent to the public the ownership and control of the site.

He also violated Texas Election code, which bars public political communications and advertisements whose intent is to mislead the public as to the apparent source of the political advertisement or the identity of the advertiser.

When questioned, his campaign treasurer, Jill DeYoung, downplayed them as "Politics 101". Rick Bolaños says Bonilla and his treasurer are about to receive a lesson in "Politics 102", where breaking the law, even if you are a sitting congressman, comes with consequences.
