Uvalde Democratic Party to host a free barbecue

Uvalde Democratic Party Chair W. Patrick Dotson will co-host a reception rally for Democratic candidates in the November election, September 13th from 7-9 p.m. at the Uvalde Adult Center, 250 E. Main. His co-host is Enrique Vasquez.

Elected officials and candidates will give stump speeches during the free barbecue, mingle with Uvalde Democrats and gear up for the upcoming election.

Elected officials to speak include: State Democratic party Chair Boyd Richie, former Congressman Kiki De La Garza, Bexar County Tejano Chair Charlie Jones, and State Rep. Carlos Uresti, who is also a State Senatorial candidate.

Candidates to speak include: Texas Gubernatorial candidate Chris Bell, Lt. Governor candidate Maris Alvarado, 4th Court Justice candidate Eddie De La Garza, Congressional District 23 candidates, Lukin Gilliland, Rick Bolanos and Ciro Rodrguez.
