Military Operation Kids helps children of deployed soldiers cope with everyday stress of having a parent or parents in harm's way. The all day event was held Saturday, June 30th at the Doubletree Hotel on McCollough.

Military Kids Speak Out is a program for dependents to share their stories with other kids whose parents are sent off to various assignments around the world.

An estimated crowd of 150 protesters converged in the front of the Pyramid Building, located on San Pedro Avenue, to protest US Attorney Johnny Sutton prosecuting border agents and sending them to jail "for doing their job."

The demonstration was held at noon, Saturday, June 30th.

A small group of anti-protesters protested on one side of San Pedro Avenue against those who were protesting on the other side of San Pedro against the incarceration of border patrols agents who were convicted of violating the civil rights of illegal immigrants crossing the border.

While the Minutemen drew a crowd of over 150 demonstators, the anti protesters numbered less than two dozen.

The Minutemen Civil Defense Corps demonstated outside the office of US Attorney Johnny Sutton in the Bank of America Pyramid building, 601 NW Loop 410 at noon, Saturday, June 30th.

The San Antonio & Austin Chapters of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, in support of the American Freedom Riders, a nationwide motorcycle club dedicated to stopping illegal immigration, descended on the corner outside the building demanding US Attorney Johnny Sutton resign or that President George Bush fire him for his prosecutions of former Edwards County Deputy Sheriff Gilmer Hernandez and former U.S. Border Patrol agents Gary Brugman, Noe Aleman, Ignacio Ramos, & Jose Compean.

Former U.S. Border Patrol agent Gary Brugman was a featured speaker, Numerous television, radio, newspaper, and internet media covered the event.
